SaCha CoMeS tO aKiTiO

Sacha is a third year midwifery student that has come all the way from Dunedin to Dannevirke. Yesterday I showed her Akitio, the Waihi Falls and how much of a piss head my fiance is.
We had a fabulous day, the weather was warmer than usual, it didn't rain and the wine flowed like it was competing with the Waihi Falls later in the night. Justin cooked a pork roast to perfection, I had an epic poker teaching fail, then Justin and I taught Sacha to play a strategic card game called "Bastard" to which she won almost all of the games.
As we all became more merry Sacha decided she must see the calves - at 4:30am - and so like hospitible hosts that we are we arranged an out-of-hours viewing for Sacha of the said 50 calves who were somewhat confused by the early hour visit. Needless to say the next scheduled feeding visit was somewhat delayed due to severe hangover-itis which seemed to have effected Sacha the most as she has not surfaced as yet and I am going to feel really bad if it turns out she has swallowed her own tongue in her sleep. I am also not in the mood for a CPR refresher update either.
All in all it was a bloody good night - with no less than 9 bottles of red and white wine consumed - BY 3 PEOPLE in a window period of about 6 hours. That's 6.75 Litres consumed in total, with an average of 2.2 Litres each which works out to be 1/3 of a bottle of vino drunk by each of us each hour - which when you put it like that is almost justifiable; so why does my head hurt like it's been smashed with a car door. I have to defend Sacha and also my own good name by saying that Justin hopefully tipped the averages just a wee bit in favour of himself, I'd like to think so anyway.
