I have a second pet lamb. At this stage I have a 50% success rate with pet lambs. Hopefully for Cirque De Sooty my averages increase. I am exhausted from all the bottle feeds and walking up to the chook pen to do so. She is growing now though and the feeds will eventually wean away.
The orchard is blossoming and looks like a japanese garden. Add a cute little lamb to the equation and you could be mistaken for thinking you have died and gone to heaven.

Update on Sooty....Age: 5 weeks.
Still being bottle fed, growing fat and plump around the middle. Suffers from separation anxiety on a daily basis - weaning not looking possible at this stage.
Introduced to other sheep in front paddock - not an optimal outcome; persistent and violent acts of charging and bunting from a senior ewe with twins. Sooty rescued and placed back with the fifty calves to whom she thinks she is one of.
Sooty still prefers to eat dirt rather than grass. Also enjoys skipping in the evenings.
I have to say that it doesn't sound like there is much difference between your baby and my baby (apart from age and species).
